If you want to know - really know what changes were made from version v3.3.100 into v3.3.114 then open up that file called 'ChangeLog' in notepad and it will tell you. I just updated my dev machine, and i can tell you the most current version in the ubuntu repositories is v3.3.104

Youl have a shared drive between a 'linux terminal' that runs like CMD - Again beyond the scope but very linux -beginner friendly way to get it. I instead recommend Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL2 in the microsoft store - install ubuntu 22) and sudo apt your way to download it. This is well beyond the scope of a reddit comment and can be technical to setup. If you run a MINGW32/64 or CYGWIN then you can build compile it yourself and run it on windows. This is the link for the latest windows binary - however this is the same version as what you already have. The latest version in source is actually v3.3.114.

It appears, that even though there is 14 subversions difference whoever is handling the build for windows hasn't rebuilt it formally. The source is the latest and greatest version of the code, but the way subversions and versioning works is - no real functionality is implemented in subversions - only bug fixes and minor patches. What you actually wanted to download was the windows binary. One question: how did you originally install this? I cant find an actual installer so it will be a manual process (copy and paste into the C:/program files/gtkwave etc etc etc) - the files you've downloaded are effectively source releases directly.
